When it comes to marketing your business, there are 15 painful truths that none of us can escape.

  1. No one cares what you do. They care what you can do for them
  2. You can complain about the game, or you can learn the rules.
  3. If you’re afraid to publish things online, you have an ego problem. No one on Earth thinks about you as much as you think that they do.
  4. You can’t deposit the number of books you’ve read or followers you have in a bank account.
  5. Our mentors and other successful coaches are neither smarter nor more creative than you. They are simply better at executing.
  6. If you spent half as many hours taking action as you did thinking about taking action, you would be in a better place.
  7. You have three finite resources: time, energy, and attention. Every time you waste them, they are gone forever.
  8. The coaches you look up to are not special and are no more talented than you are.
  9. Success comes from doing monotonous things every day. For years, but nobody wants to hear that
  10. The vast majority of people would rather be uncomfortable and unhappy than uncertain.
  11. If you’re reading productivity books, you are working on the wrong project.
  12. If you did everything you said you do, your results would be ten times better than they are.
  13. You know exactly what you should be doing. So stop chasing shiny objects instead, figure out why you aren’t doing what you should be doing.
  14. It’s not the best coach who will succeed; it’s the best marketer.
  15. 95% of reading, planning and analysing is procrastination disguised as productivity.
