When we launched the ACC Exam Prep Tool, we priced it at £10 per month + VAT. We wanted it to be accessible, and we wanted coaches to feel like the cost wasn’t a barrier to getting properly prepared for their exam. That pricing did what we needed it to do – coaches signed up, revised, passed their exams, and moved on.
Every single one of them passed, in fact. That’s a 100% success rate for coaches who used the tool and then sat the exam. However, we’ve learned something in the process that’s made us rethink how the tool is priced and packaged.
What we discovered
Most coaches subscribe for about a month. They sign up in the weeks before their exam, revise intensively, take the test, and cancel. That’s perfectly rational behaviour from the coach’s perspective. If you can get what you need in four weeks, why would you pay for five?
The problem is on our side. Running and maintaining the tool costs money and at £10 for what amounts to a single month’s use, the numbers don’t work. We’ve been subsidising the tool because we believe in it, but that’s not a long-term strategy for keeping it available.
We’d rather be honest about this than quietly let the tool deteriorate or disappear.
What’s changing from 1 March
From 1 March 2026, the ACC Exam Prep Tool will cost £97 (including VAT) for three months of access. That’s a significant change from £10 per month, and we want to explain what comes with it.
The tool itself remains the same: unlimited exam-style questions aligned to the current ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics, with three modes of practice.
The Revision Tool gives you one question at a time with immediate feedback and detailed explanations for every answer option, so you understand not just what’s right but why each alternative is wrong.
The Timed Practice Test mirrors the real exam format with the same 90-second-per-question limit and 76% pass threshold. There’s the option to strikeout answers that you know to be wrong, and flag questions to come back to them later.
Three months gives you proper time to prepare without feeling rushed. You can start your revision early, build confidence gradually, and take multiple timed practice tests before booking your exam date.
The guarantee
We’re adding something that didn’t exist at the £10 price point. If you use the tool to prepare and don’t pass your ACC exam, we’ll give you another three months of access for free. No questions, no hoops to jump through. We can offer this because we’re confident in what the tool delivers, and because we’d rather back that confidence with a commitment than just tell you it works.
For coaches who haven’t heard of us
A quick summary if this is the first you’re reading about the ACC Exam Prep Tool.
We built it because we kept meeting trained coaches who had completed every other requirement for their ACC credential but hadn’t sat the exam. The reasons were consistent: fear of the unknown, toxic rhetoric in coaching communities about how impossibly hard the exam is, and a lack of decent revision resources. The tools that did exist were either outdated, static, overpriced, or all three.
Our tool generates unlimited ICF exam-style questions covering all Core Competencies and the Code of Ethics. The Revision Tool provides instant feedback with an explanation for every answer option, which matters because coaches consistently told us that their biggest frustration with other resources was not understanding why they got an answer wrong. Each question shows which Core Competency or Ethics principle is being tested, so you can identify where your knowledge is strong and where it needs work.
The Timed Practice Test is a 15-question mini exam that mimics the real thing. You don’t see your results until you’ve finished all 15 questions, just like the actual exam. You’re able to strikeout answers you know to be incorrect, and you can flag individual questions to return to before you submit. Your results show your percentage score, the correct answers, and full explanations.
Coaches who’ve used our tool alongside other revision resources consistently tell us that ours is the closest thing to the actual exam in terms of both presentation and difficulty. One client bought every revision tool he could find, and was given a ChatGPT prompt shared at an ICF webinar. He said the ChatGPT questions were so easy that he scored 100% every time, which felt reassuring but turned out to be misleading. When he sat the real exam, he said our tool was the one that had questions that we the closest to the actual exam.
