Coaches Supporting Coaches

The concept of Coaches Supporting Coaches makes me so excited. Several years into my own coaching career I am in the incredibly privileged position of being a full time Coach.  I work both with businesses and individuals; I love every minute and most importantly reap the rewards.

Recently I found myself reflecting on some of the aspects of the coaching lifestyle that helped me.  What makes me feel motivated, encouraged and empowered to take on the challenge of turning my passion into a business?

Belonging To Something Bigger Than Ourselves

The need for connection and community is primal, as fundamental as the need for air, water, and food.Dean Ornish

For me the greatest impact is from being part of a community.  That is a community of professionals willing to share, learn and collaborate at the highest level.  Personal Development pioneer Jim Rohn famously said “we are the average of the 5 people we spend most time with.”  That became a focus for me: to find a professional community that shared my core values and passion for coaching.

Peter Block (consultant in community building and author of Community: The Structure of Belonging) states; “Functional communities help maintain a good and progressive society. People do not have to handle their issues on their own because they have other people who can offer help.

There’s a direct link between a person’s skills and resources and their participation in certain key aspects of a community such as education and shared knowledge.  A positive community hones the skills of a person, it keeps them connected and helps them achieve what they want. Coaches thrive on being connected and come alive at the prospect of interacting with others therefore a community just makes so much sense.

Creating Something Bigger; Coaches Supporting Coaches

To make this happen I’ve teamed up with two other successful coaches to take the professional coaching community to a whole new level.  To help facilitate the growth of new coaches as they develop their career.  And just as importantly, to create a place where established coaches can share best practice and collaborate on new ideas and projects.

What ever your niche or your coaching qualifications we are building a community.  A connected, collaborative community committed to the betterment of everyone involved.
